10-Minute Passing & Catching Drill
Goal: consistent catches and accurate passes with both hands.
Setup (1 minute)
- Find a solid wall (garage, school, retaining wall)
- Stand 10–15 feet away
1) Basic wall ball (3 minutes)
- Throw overhand, catch the return
- Focus: step toward the wall, follow through, “give” with the catch
- 20 reps right hand, 20 reps left hand
2) Quick-stick (3 minutes)
- Catch and immediately throw back — no cradle between
- 15 reps each hand
3) Cross-hand catches (2 minutes)
- Throw right, catch left (and vice versa)
4) Finish with confidence (1–2 minutes)
- 10 easy close wall balls — end on a good rep
The wall is the best practice partner in lacrosse. 10 minutes daily will improve stick skills faster than anything else.
